What the Automation Does
Bill Maloney is the advancement director for a large nonprofit organization in Kansas City. Every morning, Bill opens his laptop to find 5 emails already drafted to his donors. All Bill has to do is review the drafts, make a few tweaks and send them out. Donors receive the emails from Bill’s real email address, as if he sat down and wrote each one from scratch. There is no “unsubscribe” link, and the emails are heartfelt and personalized to each donor.
How it works
AutomateGenius drafts Bill’s emails each morning, based on live data from what’s happening inside his organization’s Raiser’s Edge database. Some of the emails include:
- Wishing a donor happy birthday
- Thanking a donor for increasing their gift to this year’s appeal
- Recognizing a donor who just made their 20th gift to the organization
- Welcoming a new donor who just made his or her first gift
